The Richmond Compensation Association (RCA) was formed in 1982 by three compensation professionals from the Richmond Human Resources Community. These three founders met at a WorldatWork meeting in Philadelphia, PA and discussed the need to have some type of forum in Richmond for compensation professionals to meet, greet, and exchange ideas. The first meeting of Richmond compensation professionals took place at Philip Morris U.S.A.
For the past 30 years, RCA has been recognized as the definitive source for Total Rewards in the Central Virginia area. Our members represent various organizations from Fortune 500 international public companies to local private employers, non-profit organizations, and many leading Human Resources consulting firms. Members range from students and young professionals to experienced thought leaders in our community.
RCA is a non-profit, volunteer organization supported by the community. It is led by a Board of Directors and sub-Committees. The Board and its Committees coordinate presentations and seminars featuring local and national subject matter experts. These presentations provide our members with up-to-date information regarding the issues and trends facing Total Rewards professionals. In addition, RCA sponsors WorldatWork certification courses and is proud to support the various designations offered by the WorldatWork Society of Certified Professionals.
