Human Resources Analyst I (Compensation and Benefits Specialist) – Germanna Community College

Under minimum supervision, provides professional level support in the administration of Germanna’s compensation and benefits practices, policies and programs including data preparation and analysis.  Administrating these programs requires input from multiple sources, including market research, internal and external surveys, performance evaluations, etc. Provides support and problem resolution to management on compensation philosophy and practices.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

·         Assists managers in the writing of job and position descriptions

·         Responsible for classifying jobs

·         Reviews relevant compensation data to ensure Germanna is internally equitable and externally competitive

·         Conducts analysis on internal and external salary statistics

·         Serves as backup to Senior HR Generalist in the administration of benefits and retirement programs

·         Ensures Germanna compliance with federal, state and local laws, regulations and policy

Minimum Qualifications

·         Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources or equivalent years of experience

·         Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft applications

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

·         Excellent research skills and great attention to detail

·         Familiarity with FLSA compliance guidelines

·         Familiarity with HRIS systems

Preferred Qualifications

·         Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources

·         Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or similar certification

·         Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)

·         Ability to create relational databases/tables

Hiring Range - $55,000 - $60,000 plus full state benefits
