Senior Compensation Analyst - Carilion Clinic, Roanoke, VA

Job Summary

Conducts compensation studies, program evaluations and analyses; designs, develops, implements and administers programs to support business needs; ensures timely, accurate and consistent data quality; achieves project milestones for cross-functional initiatives; ensures administrative excellence through communication and education of efficient and effective programs and processes.  Maintains a broad knowledge of ways compensation programs can support business initiatives.   Requires an advanced level of proficiency in computer software related to databases, spreadsheets, statistical analysis and other applications; demonstrates an understanding of applicable laws and regulations. 

Responsibilities:

  • Participates on, and may lead, complex cross-functional, strategic projects and initiatives;   monitors content and timelines; works to ensure key deadlines and needs are met using collaborative processes. 
  • Uses expert-level knowledge to anticipate needs of clients and colleagues and proactively develops products/solutions to meet those needs. 
  • Generates and maintains customer relationships with a focus on the operational and strategic, business critical needs of the COE, HR, and overall organization.
  • Continuously develops, applies  and maintains necessary analytical techniques to support data driven approach to the achievement of COE, HR and business goals 
  • Designs and administers compensation programs.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Five (5) years of directly-related experience required.  Multi- industry experience preferred. 
Licensure/Certifications/Registration: CCP certification preferred.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Must possess excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills, including presentation skills. Must maintain an advanced degree of proficiency in computer software related to databases, spreadsheets, statistical analysis and other applications.  Demonstrated analytical thinking and interpersonal skills. Must work well in a team environment and have a solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs. Lawson knowledge preferred. Demonstrated resourcefulness and ability to work on multiple tasks/projects while meeting deadlines and being flexible in an environment of changing priorities.
