Compensation & Benefits Sr. Manager - Genworth

POSITION SUMMARY

This role will report to the Head of Compensation and Retirement Plans and will be the lead Compensation partner for our US Life Division.  This role will work closely with the US Life Division and Genworth Sr. Leaders to design and maintain new and existing programs in direct support of business initiatives and strategic goals. 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide strategic advice on compensation related matters to US Life Division President and HR Leader
  • Lead the annual compensation planning cycle along with ad hoc market analysis, benchmark studies and job evaluations for the US Life Division
  • Ensure Genworth remains compliant with federal and state regulations, including FLSA, EEO, and pay equity testing
  • Lead the annual incentive program review and design for the entire organization in conjunction with the organization’s business and talent management strategy
  • Partner with HR and Business partners on the implementation, and on-going refinement of wholistic broad-based compensation job architecture, pay structures and governance processes
  • Monitor emerging standards, regulations and trends and apply to compensation designs, processes and strategies as appropriate
  • Partner with HR Systems team to facilitate annual compensation planning processes and revise as needed

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to effectively collaborate and influence all levels of the organization
  • BA/BS with at least 5 years of Compensation experience
  • Working knowledge of job pricing / market benchmarking practices, and US compliance practices (FLSA, OFCCP, etc.)
  • Knowledge of variable pay plan design principles (including sales compensation plans, operations incentive plans, etc.)
  • Experience administering annual merit/bonus planning processes
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
  • Master's Degree in Accounting, Statistics, Business Administration, Finance or Human Resources
  • Experience with International Compensation and Benefits
  • Experience with Willis Towers Watson Global Grading / Career Band Levels and Reward System
  • Experience with Workday
