We are currently seeking a Manager of Compensation, to lead our team of Compensation analysts. In this role you will you will get to consult with senior business leaders to make sound choices by analyzing data and working through pay-related issues. You’ll get to design and implement pay programs, translating strategy and philosophy into results. Love to partner with other people? Great! You will get to work with other HR functions to champion the culture, bring in the most innovative people, and develop approaches to grow and keep our Associates at CarMax.

• Lead a team of compensation analysts across multiple complex workstreams including compensation modeling, benchmarking, and pay administration
• Translate strategy into action plans, holding self and others accountable for delivery
• Manage partnerships across CarMax to maintain effective information flow, consultation on key decisions, and championing company and team goals
• Use data and metrics to determine program success and to drive improvements in all elements of compensation

Position Requirements

• At least one year of previous Compensation experience, with a preference for three or more years
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience with a preference for business, economics, or other quantitative majors 
• Prior experience in some form of internal or external consulting (preferred)
• Prior experience as either a team lead or people manager (preferred)
• Prior experience working in WorkDay or similar HRIS system (preferred)
